Maid’s Room
Maid’s Room is a feature film in development, written and directed by Yoo Ra HONG.

Synopsis
Jeehee, an aspiring painter living in a maid's room, settles into Paris and grows close to Tess, a domestic worker from the Philippines who lives in another maid's room on the same floor. However, upon meeting Luc, Tess's employer who runs a prestigious gallery, she flees with Tess from Paris.
Director’s Note
This film explores migration, labour and gender issues by depicting the lives of two Asian women from different cultural and economic backgrounds within the architectural and social structure of the maid's room. While films about Asian immigrants in Western societies are increasing, those that proactively address the lives of Asian migrants themselves remain rare. This film closely portrays the conflict and solidarity between its two protagonists, bringing to light the lives of women struggling within the globalised world.
